There is an old childhood rhyme we used to say when we knew someone was lying.
Liar, Liar, pants on fire
It was said because lies will eventually become known for what they are. When the liar is confronted, they usually figgit, sway, or move about nervously because now they are caught.
Honesty is the best policy – Benjamin Franklin
When your honest, people trust and respect you. But once you become known to be a liar that trust disappears and is very hard to regain. Most people will never trust a person known to be caught lying no matter how much they try.
So practice honesty , learn diplomacy and become known for being a reliable person that people can trust.
