Never Say Never

The other day I was speaking to a doctor who deals with people that have Epilepsy. When I asked him how long he thought it would be until some of these people where healed, he got an extremely sad look on his face and said “I’m not sure there will ever be a cure.”

Isaiah 12 tells us that it is time to reach out to help people like this so they can see God’s handy work so they too will believe. We need to give them the encouragement to not give up, but to keep on looking because there is always an answer, if they just look in the right place.

We need them to see that it’s not about what an individual can do as a person, but it’s about what a person can do with the Lord guiding them, giving them the answers. It is time for us to glorify the Lord, not because of who we are, but who He is, for He truly is the great “I AM”.

Here is the thought the Lord gave me to share with this doctor.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

God has all knowledge, He knows where everything is and He opens all doors. Absolutely nothing is impossible for God. The Lord is also faithful to His word, and if His word says it will be, it will be. If His word says He will do it, He will without a doubt do it. This is because if He goes against what His word says, He would be denying Himself, which is something He can not and will not do.

You should always seek guidance and wisdom from the Lord first. He will give you the knowledge through a book, a person or in some other way, but He will give it to you, so you will believe. He will also put people in your path to guide you, lead you, direct you, and give you the encouragement you need to keep on trying. I have also learned that He will sometimes blind people from seeing the answer…. until they ask.

The word of the Lord says “Ask and it will be given to you.”

But if you don’t ask, what question is there for Him to answer?

The word of the Lord says “Seek and you will find.”

But if you don’t seek, what is there to find?

The word of the Lord says “To him who knocks, it will be opened to you.”

But if you don’t knock, what is there to open?

All it takes is just a mustard seed of faith to ask the Lord to show you the answer and He will. He will guide you, lead you and direct you just as He has promised. He is faithful to keep His word.

Turn to the Lord to find the answers and ask Him to open your eyes so that you may see.

But you must take the first step.
