Love Is A Key

“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23:1

When I went to the Lord in prayer and asked for guidance on what He wanted to say, two things came on my heart – Leadership and Unity.

Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do no merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:1-4

We are not to do things for what we desire, but for the desire of the Lord and to help others. We are to look after ourselves and our salvation first, but we are to put the needs of others before us. God will make sure you have all your needs taken care of for being faithful in serving him, Thank you Lord.

But the Lord truly desires us to be unified. After all we will be in heaven together, united to serve God. God will give us encouragement and help us to persevere so we may be like minded, so we may have one voice to glorify our Father.

We unify so we may better serve the Lord our God. Paul taught unity to many. Through Christ we are all given a measure of grace.

A new commandment I give to you that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” John 13:34-35

By our love we show ourselves to be servants of our Lord. We are all disciples of Jesus and we should all be unified in how we reflect His love to others.

The bible is a tool to help us understand how to love. The Spirit will guide us, but we still need to study and understand the word of God, just as we are tonight.

We each need to seek the Lord on everything we read and clarify when we have questions. This bonding of helping each other helps us to unify as a family – One body with many members. Jesus and us – each one of us has a purpose to help the family work as one. We need to use the gifts we are given for the good of the entire body. And who is the body?

Is it just us here? Or at your church?

Not at all.

It is every person who claims Jesus as the Lord and Savior. Whether they are at work or on the other side of the world they are still part of the body of Christ. There are a variety of cultures and languages, all working as one body. Or we should be anyway.

Love, Love, Love…

Love is the key to unity.

Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Colossians 3:14

Love is the perfect bond of unity and when we show love to others the way God desire us to, and not in any other way, the glue strengthens and we will show ourselves approved.

A new commandment I give to you that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” John 13:34-35

People will know who we are by the love we show; by our actions and our words. I pray the Lord binds us together with that perfect bond of love, and that we all show ourselves approved and acceptable to the Lord. That we glorify God in all that we say and do and that we unify as one body in Christ and be like minded in that perfect love, the way God desires us to be.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1

Love, Love, Love…its pretty cool how everything is founded on love

When we desire to learn we are showing our love to God, but it is by God’s love that we are able to learn and comprehend. You can not separate love.

God is love, and there is no greater love than a perfect innocent one laying down His life so others can live. Thank you Jesus.

God is so very awesome and He love each of us so much, that He gave His only Son so we would be able to join Him in heaven.

And what is love?
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love works every time. AMEN!
