Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? The King will answer and say to them, truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me. Matthew 25:37-40
The Lord says what you do for even the least of His brothers, you do to Him. We should not look at a person’s appearance, or judge whether they have Jesus in their heart, or how much money they make, or whether they actually have the need, or anything.
We should not even stop and ask ourselves if this could be Jesus himself, but rather we should help them because we love them the way the Lord desires us to.
Each of us has a part of the Lord in us. We are part of Him. When people treat us badly, they are also doing it to the Lord. Just as if you treat someone badly or judge them in any way and choose to not help them, you are doing it to the Lord.
Love every person the way Jesus loves us, and do not make the decision of whether they need it or deserve it.
